Job Description

Staff Application
  • Attend all staff meetings.
  • Be prepared to carry out requests from other staff members and assist the Men's Dean whenever needed.
  • Monitor cabins & restrooms to be sure all campers & leaders attend services/meals, send any potential health problems to the nurse.
  • Speak to any violations of dress regulations: short shorts or skirts, bare bellies, etc.
  • Monitor chapel behavior, correct children who display their need for it (Disrespect, too much talking, feet on pews, poking, pulling hair, unnecessary bathroom trips, etc.).
  • Be aware of girls' whereabouts, hopefully preventing clandestine activities.
  • Prayerfully and wisely deal with conflicts between girls or girls and counselors. Report serious difficulties to Camp Director.
  • Make sure campers are quiet and lights are out at a reasonable time. Tour the girl's side of camp after lights out to ensure campers are quiet.
  • Assist with watching swimmers to assure pool safety.
  • Get to know the cabin leaders and their assistants. Offer any help/support they may need. Pray with and for them.
  • Get acquainted with as many campers, especially girls, as possible. Show them friendship and love, as well as a standard to live by.
  • Assist as asked with program for Thursday evening while boys are camping on the mountain (7th & 8th grade camp only)
  • (It's not a duty, but due to the demanding schedule, taking an hour to lie down and relax after dinner is a very good idea.)
